Creating a Culture of Engagement: Leveraging Diversity for Success
University of the Rockies team to present at annual human resources conference

Dr. Amy Kahn, director of diversity, and Barbara Henry-Quinn, campus director of human resources, will present at the annual conference for the College and University Professional Association for Human Resources (CUPA-HR). Their session, “Creating a Culture of Engagement: Leveraging Diversity for Success,” will be held on Monday, Sept. 10 in Boston, Mass.

CUPA-HR is a membership-based organization that represents 92 percent of all U.S. doctoral institutions. As a service provider to the higher education industry, CUPA-HR provides knowledge, resources and advocacy related to human resource management.

At this annual conference, Kahn and Henry-Quinn will outline how universities can create community and engagement through diversity.

“At University of the Rockies we leverage our collective capabilities and embrace the diversity of our students, staff and faculty. We have inspired a culture that is inclusive and that regards diversity highly. The results – from both a cultural standpoint and an HR standpoint – are really very cool,” says Kahn.

Through an interactive session, Kahn and Henry-Quinn will share strategies and best practices for college campuses.
