Building Personal Power
Free professional development event to be held at University of the Rockies

You’ve heard the phrase: it’s not what you know, it’s who you know.

It’s true.

Social capital – the resources available to you through your networks – can help you get ahead.

University of the Rockies will explore the importance of social capital and offer ways to maximize it during a free professional development seminar on Thursday, Sept. 13, 2012. This informative and interactive session begins at 5 p.m. and includes dinner, dessert, and the opportunity for participants to practice their networking skills.

Led by Dr. David Solly, core faculty member in University of the Rockies’ School of Professional Psychology, attendees will learn:

1.      The importance of networking as it relates to building your personal power

2.      How to choose events to enhance your career and business

3.      Strategies for building your social capital

There is no cost to attend this event. Space is limited, so an RSVP is required by Sept. 10. Respond by phone to 866.442.0808.
