University of the Rockies Offers Complimentary Professional Development Session for Mental Health Providers and Students
Professor to present seminar about emotional intelligence and job satisfaction

On Thursday, November 21, 2013, University of the Rockies’ psychology Professor, Dr. Deborah Pardee, will present Emotional Intelligence and Job Satisfaction Among Mental Health Providers, the next in the series of University of the Rockies’ complimentary professional development sessions.

In this presentation, held at University of the Rockies’ Colorado Springs campus, Dr. Pardee will examine emotional intelligence among mental health professionals and how it may affect their satisfaction with work. Additionally, she will discuss gender differences in emotional intelligence and whether or not they exist.

Dr. Pardee is a licensed psychologist in both Colorado and Arizona. She has been in practice for over 30 years and has specialized in the management of substance abuse treatment programs and general psychiatric programs in various parts of the country. In the last 13 years, Dr. Pardee has specialized in neurofeedback and has worked extensively with children, adolescents and adults.
