University of the Rockies Vice Provost Awarded Diversity Visionary Award
Dr. Amy Kahn honored with lifetime achievement recognition

INSIGHT Into Diversity, the oldest and largest diversity magazine and website in higher education, has awarded the Diversity Visionary Award to University of the Rockies vice provost Dr. Amy Kahn. The award recognizes individuals who have made significant contributions to diversity in higher education.

“I am humbled and honored to have received this type of recognition and to have been nominated by my colleagues,” said Dr. Kahn. “I am particularly grateful to University of the Rockies director of diversity Francesca Galarraga for all that she has accomplished, as well as University of the Rockies president Dr. Charlita Shelton and provost Dr. Tina Parscal for providing me the opportunity to continue with my diversity research while serving the University.”

“This is the only national individual honor of its kind,” said Lenore Pearlstein, publisher of INSIGHT Into Diversity magazine. “Each Diversity Visionary Award recipient has made an indelible mark in broadening diversity and inclusion at their college or university.”

The Diversity Visionary Award is a lifetime achievement award, presented to Dr. Kahn for her vision, dedication, and long-term commitment to diversity. A pioneer in diversity management for more than 20 years, Dr. Kahn’s work has focused on strategic mission alignment and integration in support of institutional collaboration and inclusion. Her expertise includes organizational development, leadership, research (qualitative and quantitative), curriculum development, assessment and evaluation, diversity strategic planning, engagement, change management, and process improvement.
