University of the Rockies Joins the American Red Cross' Ready 365 Giving Program
University's support will help the American Red Cross provide emergency services

University of the Rockies has become a bronze member of the American Red Cross’ Ready 365 Giving Program. The University’s $10,000 gift will assist the Red Cross’ efforts to provide services to people during disasters, to support military personnel and their families, and to offer preparedness training to businesses and individuals in the community as the need arises.

“This support from University of the Rockies will help the Red Cross deliver vital services to Coloradans – helping before, during, and after disasters and emergencies,” said Gino Greco, CEO of the American Red Cross of Colorado. “Gifts like this support our mission on a day-to-day basis and enable us to be ready to meet the needs of our communities.”

The donation from University of the Rockies will also help to fund the Red Cross’ Military Family Services programs which provide support for local members of the military and their families. This fits well with the University’s giving mission which focuses, in part, on supporting military organizations.

“The core values of University of the Rockies are integrity, service, excellence, and diversity. Partnering with the American Red Cross allows us to put our values into practice right here in our own community,” said Dr. Charlita Shelton, president and CEO of University of the Rockies. “The values of both organizations are in alignment and we are honored to become Ready 365 members.”
