University of the Rockies Hosts State-Wide Diversity Exchange on February 7, 2015
Event will bring together diversity leaders from across Colorado

University of the Rockies will host a gathering of chief diversity officers and diversity practitioners from colleges and universities at the University’s Denver Instructional Site in downtown Denver.

The event continues a tradition that began in 2012 when chief diversity officers from institutions of higher education throughout Colorado came together to collaborate and exchange best practices for serving the increasingly diverse population of Colorado.

“We are honored to be able to host diversity practitioners and partners from the entire state of Colorado at the Professional Exchange on Diversity,” said Francesca Galarraga, director of diversity at University of Rockies. “The Chief Diversity Officers for Colorado group strives to foster welcoming college and university campuses that provide students with access to some of the best learning opportunities in the nation. Coming together with other constituencies and community partners focused on embracing the diversity of Colorado speaks to University of the Rockies’ core values of service, integrity, diversity, and excellence.”

The Professional Exchange on Diversity will take place on Saturday, Feb. 7 from 2:00 – 5:00 p.m. and will be followed by a reception from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. which will include local community members joining the diversity practitioners.
