Rockies Core Faculty Member Receives Certification from the Institute for Learning Styles Research
Dr. Marilynn Force invited to speak at the National ILSR Conference
Dr. Marilynn Force has earned certification from the Institute for Learning Styles Research (ILSR).

University of the Rockies core faculty member Dr. Marilynn Force earned certification from the Institute for Learning Styles Research (ILSR) in Knoxville, Tenn. last week. Dr. Force is one of only a few practitioners from outside of the Southern United States region to have been invited to train at the ILSR.

As a core faculty member in University of the Rockies’ School of Organizational Development and Leadership, Dr. Force will be able to apply the training she received at ILSR in the classroom as she continues to develop students to become leaders at various organizations and businesses. The ILSR training focused on the Multi-Modal Paired Associates Learning Test III (MMPALT), which is applicable to a diverse range of fields, including education and business. It can also be used by individuals who are interested in pursuing their own formal and informal lifelong learning.

“This certification means I can help enrich instructional design and provide faculty training to better serve our diverse student population and further their education,” said Dr. Force. “I am looking forward to implementing what I have learned across the University.”

As a result of receiving the certification, Dr. Force was invited to speak at the National ILSR Conference in Auburn, Ala. on May 29.
