University of the Rockies Staff Will Present at COLTT Conference
More than 400 attendees have registered for conference on teaching practices and technology

University of the Rockies will have a substantial presence at the Colorado Learning and Teaching with Technology (COLTT) Conference being held at the University of Colorado in Boulder, Colo. More than 400 attendees have registered for the conference taking place August 5 and 6.

University of the Rockies vice provost Dr. Amy Kahn will present “Navigating State Authorization: Key Considerations and Perspectives,” with Russ Poulin, deputy director, research & analysis at WCET (WICHE Cooperative for Educational Technologies).

Carol Parenteau, University of the Rockies manager of academic quality, and Phil McCready, University of the Rockies assessment analyst, will present on the University’s recent experiences with Quality Matters in the session titled “Quality Matters Learner Success Certification: Is It Worth It?”

Dr. Julie Frese, University of the Rockies director of assessment and academic quality, will join Parenteau and McCready in facilitating the “Birds of a Feather” session for conference attendees to discuss topics of common interest.

The COLTT Conference engages participants in learning about teaching practices and technologies, challenging the way they think about both. By attending presentations and hands-on workshops, attendees are able to network and gather effective practices that change the way they teach and learn in classrooms, online, and in virtual environments. More information about the COLTT Conference can be found at https://www.cu.edu/coltt.
