Eighty-Six Students from University of the Rockies Inducted into Golden Key International Honour Society
Golden Key recognizes students for academic excellence

On Saturday, Oct. 24, University of the Rockies inducted 86 new students into the Golden Key International Honour Society. The induction took place in the Colorado Convention Center prior to the commencement ceremony for the University’s Class of 2015. Nine of the graduating students were among the 86 scholars inducted into the honor society.

University of the Rockies has inducted students into the elite honor society for several years. Membership in the society is by invitation only, and is open exclusively to top-performing students who achieve a grade point average of 3.9 or higher. Golden Key membership reflects a student’s hard work and dedication to success.

The Golden Key induction ceremony kicked off with a welcome from Dr. Amy Kahn, provost at University of the Rockies. Dr. Dianne Lefly, dean of the School of Social, Human, and Educational Development, and Dr. Doug Gilbert, dean of the School of Organizational Leadership, also addressed the Golden Key members and their guests. The new inductees were welcomed into the Honour Society and presented with honor cards.

“This event is always exciting and satisfying as it provides an opportunity to honor the academic excellence of our students,” said Kahn.
