University of the Rockies Confers 439 Master’s and Doctoral Degrees
Ceremony of pomp and circumstance marks transition from student to graduate

University of the Rockies celebrated its commencement ceremony on Saturday, October 1. More than 120 graduates and nearly 300 guests traveled from around the world to Denver to attend the graduation ceremony at the Colorado Convention Center and other commencement-related events.

“It was an honor to celebrate the personal and academic accomplishments of University of the Rockies’ graduates,” said Dr. Dawn Iwamoto, University of the Rockies president and CEO. “The pomp and circumstance from the weekend was a great reminder of the hard work and perseverance these graduates demonstrated to achieve their goal of receiving their degrees.”

Graduates Keynon Washington of San Diego, Calif., who received her doctor of psychology with a specialization in executive coaching, and Taylor Lynn Richardson of Guymon, Okla., who received her master of arts in psychology, sport and performance psychology specialization, served as the ceremony’s keynote speakers.

During the weekend, graduation festivities surrounding commencement also included a professional development workshop titled “Brand U,” an alumni/graduate candidate reception, and an induction ceremony for the Golden Key International Honour Society and SALUTE Veterans National Honor Society.
