University of the Rockies Receives Approval for new PhD in Organizational Development and Leadership
Two New Master's Programs Also Approved by Higher Learning Commission

University of the Rockies, a graduate school specializing in psychology programs at the master’s and doctoral levels, has received approval from the Higher Learning Commission (HLC) to offer one new doctoral program and two new master’s programs. The approved degree programs are a PhD in Organizational Development and Leadership, an MA in Human Services and an MA in Organizational Development and Leadership.

“This is an exciting time for University of the Rockies,” said Dr. Charlita Shelton, President of University of the Rockies. “The addition of these new programs expands our offerings beyond the area of psychology. We are now poised to become a leader in the behavioral and social sciences as well.”

The decision to develop these particular programs was based on research that indicated a high demand for degrees in the areas of organizational development and human services – a demand that is not currently being met by many other universities.

“Students have been asking for advanced degree programs in these areas,” Dr. Shelton explained. “The faculty and staff of University of the Rockies look forward to offering these degrees to students and potential students looking for education in these expanding fields.”

The HLC is the accrediting body for University of the Rockies. It is a commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools and it accredits degree-granting post-secondary educational institutions in the North Central region of the United States.
