University of the Rockies Announces Online Master's and Doctorate Programs in Psychology

University of the Rockies has announced the launch of two online degree programs from its College of Organizational Leadership: Master of Arts in Psychology and Doctor of Psychology.

"Graduate students enroll in these programs to further their abilities to contribute toward the emotional and mental health of human beings and simultaneously enhance their work in the psychology profession," said Dr. Charlita Shelton, president of University of the Rockies, an academic institution of Bridgepoint Education. "Students learn to integrate applications of psychology with elements of business and leadership, thus expanding their employment options.

"Online course work allows students the opportunity to earn a graduate degree on their own terms without disrupting their careers or their lives," Dr. Shelton added. "Our dynamic, flexible online courses provide many opportunities for student participation and engagement. In addition to listening to weekly lectures, our online graduate students take part in classroom discussions and complete objective assessments, all online.”

Executive Coaching and Organizational Leadership are the specializations available in the university's new online master's and doctorate degree programs in psychology. "We selected these specializations because they focus on the knowledge and skills needed for in-demand career opportunities in the psychology field," Dr. Shelton said.

Courses in graduate level psychology prepare students to be leaders within large, complex educational institutions by reinforcing core skills in practical and theoretical training. The curriculum challenges students to develop core skills in practical and academic analysis, oral and written communication, problem solving, critical thinking, team building, and technology. To apply, students may visit: http://www.rockies.edu or call 866-821-0124 for more information.
