Dr. David Stephens Named Dean, School of Professional Psychology at University of the Rockies

 

Dr. David Stephens has joined University of the Rockies as dean of its School of Professional Psychology. University of the Rockies was founded as a graduate school specializing in psychology programs

Prior to this appointment, Dr. Stephens served as the regional director of mental health for Correctional Healthcare Management. He also served as the chief of Behavioral Health Services for the Colorado Department of Corrections, and has teaching experience at the University of Southern Colorado.  

“Dr. Stephens’ strong clinical background will benefit our students as they train to become licensed psychologists serving diverse populations,” said Dr. Tina Parscal, University of the Rockies provost. 

As dean, Dr. Stephens will develop and oversee all academic programs in the School of Professional Psychology, which prepares students to become mental health providers. He is a clinical psychologist licensed in Colorado, Wyoming and Missouri. He earned his Doctor of Psychology degree from the University of Denver.
