Dr. Moreland brings expertise in psychology and leadership
University of the Rockies, a leading graduate school focused on the social and behavioral sciences, has announced the appointment of Dr. Jeremy Moreland as the University's provost, effective June 6, 2016. Dr. Moreland brings more than 20 years of experience in academics to University of the Rockies. In his most recent role as academic dean for the School of Advanced Studies at University of Phoenix, he provided oversight for program and policy development and student and faculty research. He also chaired the University's Institutional Review Board. Since 2009, Dr. Moreland has granted final approval on nearly 4,000 dissertations. "I welcome Dr. Jeremy Moreland and look forward to working with him as the new provost for University of the Rockies," said Dr. Dawn Iwamoto, University of the Rockies CEO and president. "Dr. Moreland is a great fit for University of the Rockies and our students." Dr. Moreland earned a Ph.D. in general experimental psychology from Texas Christian University, a master of science from Texas Christian University, and a bachelor of arts from Stephen F. Austin State University. Dr. Moreland is also the founding editor-in-chief of the award-winning Journal of Leadership Studies.
