Graduates Warner Richards Crawford and April Matteson Chosen as Speakers
DENVER, Oct. 17, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- University of the Rockies has announced two members of the graduating class, Warner Richards Crawford and April Matteson, will deliver the keynote speeches at its fall commencement ceremony. The ceremony is set for 2 p.m. on Saturday, October 21, in the Four Seasons Ballroom at the Denver Convention Center. Crawford, of Queens, New York, is graduating from University of the Rockies with a doctor of psychology degree with a specialization in mediation and conflict resolution. Originally from Costa Rica, Crawford has spent his professional life as a counselor throughout Latin America, North America, the Caribbean, and West Africa, working in both English and Spanish. Matteson, of San Diego, Calif., is graduating with a master of arts in psychology with a specialization in mediation and conflict resolution. A military wife and mother of six, Matteson earned her degree while running a business and managing a household while her husband was deployed. More than 135 students are expected to travel to Denver to receive their diplomas during the University of the Rockies commencement ceremony. Throughout the weekend, graduation festivities will include a professional development workshop, Golden Key International and SALUTE Honour Societies Induction Ceremony and Awards Ceremony, and culminates in the commencement ceremony and reception.
