The Colorado Springs Business Journal has selected Hillary Reed, campus admissions manager, as one of its 2012 Rising Stars. Each year the Business Journal honors 40 young professionals under the age of 40 who have excelled in their professions and volunteered in the community. 

Award criteria include professional accomplishment, volunteer accomplishment, and leadership within the community.

Reed joined University of the Rockies in 2007 after five years with the Boys and Girls Clubs in Iowa, Missouri and Colorado. She currently serves as a board member for the Southern Colorado Women’s Chamber of Commerce and is the board president for Alliance of Colleges and Corporations for Education and Leadership (ACCEL).

“It is rare to find a colleague who provides the level of dedication and commitment that Hillary demonstrates,” said Carolyn Harris, director of enrollment services. “We are extremely proud to have Hillary represent University of the Rockies with her integrity, excellence and leadership.”

Reed will be honored at a reception at Cheyenne Mountain Resort on Thursday, March 22, 2012.
