In recognition of National Volunteer Month, University of the Rockies, an advanced institution for tomorrow’s thought leaders owned by Bridgepoint Education, Inc. (NYSE: BPI), has designated April 14, 2012 to be “University of the Rockies Volunteer Day.” University of the Rockies students across the country are being asked to volunteer on that day in a collaborative effort to show the community how much the University’s students care. 

There are four steps for students to participate:    

1.      Find a place in the community to volunteer by contacting organizations such as Boys & Girls Clubs of America, the Humane Society of the United States or the YMCA.

2.      Contact the local organization and make arrangements to volunteer on April 14.

3.      Volunteer on April 14 and wear University of the Rockies gear or colors.

4.      Submit photos and share stories on the University of the Rockies Facebook page or tweet about the experience using the #RockiesVolunteers hashtag.  

University of the Rockies faculty members and staff will also participate in “University of the Rockies Volunteer Day” in Denver and Colorado Springs, Colo.
