New websites offer several features to help students find information easier
University of the Rockies has launched two new online libraries, one for online and one for campus students. The new websites, which are nearly identical, offer several features to help students find information easier. “In maintaining our commitment to quality and developing innovative tools and resources to promote student success, University of the Rockies revamped its library websites to make finding information for assignments and projects much easier,” said Trina Purcell, library director for the University. The new websites offer a more organized presentation of scholarly journal and general magazine articles, eBooks, newspaper articles, reports, conference proceedings, government publications, and more. Students are given the option to search databases by A-Z, subject, or eBooks and newspapers. One of the most impressive features of the sites are the “Getting Research Help” sections, which include several tutorials designed to assist students with the process of searching for articles, eBooks, and multimedia resources, as well as citations, copyright and plagiarism. The new libraries can be accessed via the student portal. Contact uorlibrary@rockies.edu for further information.
