Emotional Intelligence and Organizational Change: Getting to the Heart of the Matter
Free professional development lunch to be held at University of the Rockies

How do you make people feel differently – vs. just behave differently – in order to manage rapid and radical organizational change?

University of the Rockies will explore this topic and how emotional intelligence can impact organizational change during a free “lunch and learn” event on Thursday, August 30, 2012.

Dr. Gina Hernez-Broome will teach participants how to manage things and lead people using emotional intelligence – arguably the most important leadership skill at a managers’ disposal.

The session will include what constitutes emotional intelligence, its role in the workplace, and how it can be developed to successfully facilitate change.

The seminar begins at 11:30 a.m. in University of the Rockies’ Leadership Room at 1201 16th Street, Suite 350. There is no cost to attend this event, and lunch will be provided.

Hernez-Broome is a core faculty member within University of the Rockies’ School of Organizational Leadership, and is also serving as interim dean. Prior to joining the University, Hernez-Broome was a program manager and lead researcher at the Center for Creative Leadership. Her recent books include Selling Yourself without Selling Out: A Leader’s Guide to Ethical Self-Promotion and Advancing Executive Coaching: Setting the Course for Successful Leadership Coaching.

Space is limited, so an RSVP is required by August 27. Respond by phone to 866.442.0808.
