Rockies team also raises more than $1,800 to help brain tumor patients
On Saturday, April 5, University of the Rockies sponsored the 2014 Miles for Hope: Moving Towards a Cure 5k to raise awareness and funding for cutting-edge brain tumor research. In addition to participating as a partner sponsor, University of the Rockies employees also raised more than $1,800 with a team of 40 runners and walkers. This year’s event was held at Sloan’s Lake in Denver, Colorado. Miles for Hope is dedicated to raising awareness, funding brain tumor research and clinical trials, and to providing travel assistance to qualified patients. Through their work, the organization is focused on finding treatments that provide a better quality of life for those suffering from brain tumors and, ultimately, on discovering a cure.
