Second Cafe Foresight Workshop to be Held Tuesday, March 17
Professionals in the education field invited to attend

University of the Rockies has announced the opening of registration for the second workshop in the Café Foresight series to be held on Tuesday, March 17, 2015 at 9 a.m. at the University of Colorado Denver Campus located at 475 Lawrence St. in Denver, Colo. Café Foresight is a workshop series focused on the future of learning, with an interest in strategic futures linking community and industry needs with higher education and technology drivers. It is intended to attract learning technology innovators and thought leaders from all sectors: public, private, academic, and not-for-profit. Café Foresight was initially funded by a University of the Rockies 2013 Research Fellows Grant Award.

The March 17 workshop, titled “Focus on Feedback: Impact and Influence on Online Learning,” will be led by Dr. David Thomas and Michael Edwards from University of Colorado.

About Dr. David Thomas
Dr. David Thomas has been the director of academic technology for the 13 schools and colleges of CU Denver since 2002. His responsibilities cover the selection and management of the technology used in the delivery of online and face-to-face classes. His team provides critical support to faculty who use digital technology to teach. He has a Ph.D. in architecture and planning, with a scholarly focus on games, digital media, and what makes places fun. He is a board member of the Colorado Distance Learning Association.

About Michael Edwards
Michael Edwards is an academic technology coordinator specializing in technology education, web development, multimedia, and course design. He is always on the lookout for new ways to improve learning with technology. His specialties include instructional design, multimedia production, collaborative team projects, and delivering seminars/workshops. He earned his M.Ed. in Career & Technology Education from Bowling Green State University.
