University of the Rockies Announces First Responders Grant Program

In support of the nation’s first responders, University of the Rockies announced today the launch of the institution’s First Responders Grant Program. The grant is available to eligible students attending University of the Rockies who serve as federal, state, or county local first responders such as police officers, sheriffs, firefighters, emergency medical technicians, and paramedics. In addition, students must be enrolled in one of the following University of the Rockies programs: master of arts in psychology, doctor of psychology, criminology and justice studies specialization, master of arts in organizational development and leadership, or doctor of philosophy in organizational development and leadership.

“University of the Rockies is honored to provide the First Responders Grant to its students,” said Dr. Jeremy Moreland, University of the Rockies provost. “We are committed to supporting the nation’s first responders by providing a relevant education at an affordable cost to those who serve the communities we work and live in.”

The First Responders Grant amount for master’s degree-seeking students will equate to 20 percent of the cost of tuition. The grant amount for students seeking a doctoral degree will equate to 15 percent of the cost of tuition. In addition, the grant will waive the institution’s technology fee or technology services fee, and sales tax charged on tuition and fees.
