University of the Rockies has hired experienced online instructor and administrator Linda Hiemer to take an active role in the development of its academic programs. “We’re very pleased to have Linda on board with the Rockies staff,” commented Dr. Tina Parscal, University of the Rockies provost. “Her experience with graduate education will be an asset, and she’ll fill a strategic need in the growth of our academic presence online.” Hiemer received her Juris Doctorate from the Dickinson School of Law at Penn State University in 1992, and has served as director, associate dean and professor for the Concord Law School and Kaplan Legal Education. She is currently an MBA candidate at Kaplan University. Hiemer’s responsibilities at University of the Rockies will include a leadership and oversight role for all things academic, steerage of individual course parameters and requirements, as well as the establishment of broad-based relationships with university faculty, administration, stakeholders and partners.
