University of the Rockies, a graduate school specializing in psychology programs at the master's and doctoral levels, is partnering with The Psychological Society of the Pikes Peak Region (PSPPR) to host a two-day workshop with Dr. Barry Duncan. Duncan is a leading expert and international consultant and trainer who focuses on how people change in therapy. He pioneered consumer-driven outcome measures that have transformed how mental health and substance abuse services are delivered. He has also appeared on “Oprah,” “The View,” and other national television programs. Duncan’s two-day conference is titled “On Becoming a Better Therapist.” It will be held at the Crowne Plaza in Colorado Springs April 9-10, 2010. Participants will learn empirically-based methods to improve therapy results, prevent drop-outs, and help non-responders.
