COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo., July 20 /PRNewswire/ -- Three new professors have joined the ranks of University of the Rockies' esteemed faculty team: Steven Gray, Ph.D., Gina Hernez-Broome, Ph.D., and David Elkins, Ph.D.

Dr. Steven Gray began his full-time professorship with University of the Rockies on May 25, 2009. Prior to that, Dr. Gray was an adjunct professor of supervision, neuropsychology and neuropsychology assessment courses for the past two academic terms. A licensed psychologist in Colorado and Texas, Dr. Gray has co-authored two neuropsychologic test batteries, two books, two book chapters and more than 32 articles and research studies. Dr. Gray received his doctoral degree in Health Psychology and Behavioral Medicine from the University of North Texas. He also holds two masters degrees - an M.S. in Marriage and Family Therapy and an M.A. in Clinical Psychology, both from Texas A&M. His bachelor's degree in Psychology is from Baylor University. 

Dr. Gina Hernez-Broome began her tenure with University of the Rockies on May 26, 2009. Related work experience includes her employment with the Center for Creative Leadership in Colorado Springs, Colorado, as Program Manager for the Design and Delivery Faculty team and as a member of the Research Faculty team. Credentialed in a number of vocational test batteries and assessments, Dr. Hernez-Broome has written dozens of papers, presentations and publications on the professional topics of Leadership Development, Coaching and Employee Engagement, and Organization Transformation. She earned both her doctoral and master's degrees in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from Colorado State University, and her bachelor's degree in Psychology from the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs. 

Dr. David Elkins joined University of the Rockies on July 1, 2009. Currently a licensed psychologist in both Wyoming and California, Dr. Elkins' specializations include Humanistic-Existential Psychology, Jungian Psychology, Non-Religious Spirituality, the Arts and Healing, Group Psychotherapy, Contextual Factors Research and Meta-Perspectives in Psychotherapy, Experiential Approaches to Learning and Qualitative Approaches to Research. Dr. Elkins earned his Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from United States International University (now Alliant University). He holds an M.S. in Counseling from the University of Bridgeport and a B.A. in Religion from Harding University. 

According to Dr. Robert Edelbrock, University of the Rockies vice president and campus director, "We have been very fortunate in that we have had an opportunity to add a number of qualified and capable individuals to both the staff and faculty team. We still have a lot of work ahead of us, but I am confident we've got the right people to do the job."
