University of the Rockies to Host Information Session in Denver on March 29
University to introduce three new degree programs to the Denver area

University of the Rockies will host an Information Session in Denver on Tuesday, March 29. The event will introduce University of the Rockies’ three new degree programs: a Master’s in Human Services, a Master’s in Organizational Development and Leadership, and a Ph.D. in Organizational Development and Leadership.

The event will begin at 6:00 p.m. at Maggiano’s Little Italy in Englewood (7401 South Clinton Street), and will include dinner. There is no cost to attend.

The new programs are approved by the Higher Learning Commission and will answer a strong demand for degrees in organizational development and human services – a demand that is not currently being met by many other universities.

“With the new Ph.D. and M.A. programs in Organizational Development and Leadership, University of the Rockies joins the handful of institutions that offer this academic opportunity,” stated Dr. Tina Parscal, provost of University of the Rockies.

About the new programs:

·         Master’s in Human Services – This new M.A. in Human Services is tailored to those who answer a calling to help other people in need, explains Dr. Stephen Kirkpatrick, dean of University of Rockies’ School of Organizational Leadership and vice president of publishing. “Our curriculum will prepare graduates to compete for managerial and leadership positions in human services agencies. The program design targets both academic preparation and practical application in the human services workplace.”

·         Master’s in Organizational Development and Leadership – This program is designed to develop leaders. Individuals with technical expertise in their field can gain the “soft skills” they need to effectively manage teams and organizations.

·         Ph.D. in Organizational Development and Leadership – The Ph.D. program follows the traditional scientist-practitioner model, preparing students for either strategic execution or for instruction at the collegiate level. Students will become experts in research methodologies and analysis, and will also gain direct experience through organizational consulting opportunities.

For more information, prospective students and interested media are invited to attend the Information Session on March 29. RSVP is requested to 866.442.0808 by March 25.
