Recent News<< [Back to Recent News] University of the Rockies Offers SALUTE National Honor Society
University of the Rockies, a graduate school specializing in the social and behavioral sciences, has become a SALUTE charter member institution. SALUTE, which stands for: Service, Academics, Leadership, Unity, Tribute and Excellence, is a national honor society for veterans and active duty service members. Students must apply to join SALUTE and are selected based on their grade point average, ethical standards and military service. Students who are selected to join receive a diploma seal, a military style challenge coin and a membership certificate. They also become eligible to compete for national SALUTE scholarships. University of the Rockies expects to induct its first SALUTE members at the 2011 graduation ceremony in August.
