Dr. George Thomson to present at American Society for Training and Development event on August 9
Dr. George Thomson will present “Creating an Engaging Learning Environment Through Emotional Intelligence” to the American Society for Training and Development (ASTD) on Tuesday, Aug. 9 in Colorado Springs. The lunch program begins at 11:30 a.m. at University of the Rockies (555 East Pikes Peak Avenue). The cost for the program and lunch is $22 for ASTD members and $27 for non-members. In this presentation, Thomson will explain how expert facilitators use emotional intelligence to engage adult learners. He will also outline the components of emotional intelligence and identify those which are most important to trainers and executive coaches. About Dr. George Thomson Dr. George Thomson is a core faculty member in the School of Organizational Leadership at University of the Rockies, an adjunct faculty member at the Center for Creative Leadership, and an organizational consultant. Previously, Dr. Thomason was Director of Training and Human Development for the world’s largest hardwood company and its partners. In that role, he was responsible for a comprehensive, international human effectiveness program that encompassed customer service and sales training, leadership development, recruitment, organizational development and succession planning. |
