University of the Rockies Twice Named "Military Friendly"

University of the Rockies has been named a Military Friendly School® for 2013 by G.I. Jobs magazine. The fourth annual list recognizes the top 15% of all colleges, universities and trade schools nationwide with respect to how they support military and veteran students and their spouses. This is the second consecutive year University of the Rockies has been included on the list.

“Inclusion on the 2013 list of Military Friendly Schools® shows University of the Rockies commitment to providing a supportive environment for military students,” said Sean Collins, director for G.I. Jobs and vice president at Victory Media. “As interest in education grows we’re thrilled to provide the military community with transparent, world-class resources to assist in their search for schools.”

University of the Rockies offers its military students financial benefits such as the Post-9/11 GI Bill, the Yellow Ribbon Program, active duty military tuition grants, and textbook benefits. The University is also a Servicemembers Opportunity Colleges (SOC) institution, allowing it to award academic transfer credit for graduate-level equivalent military training and job experience.
