University of the Rockies Provost Dr. Tina Parscal Named a "Woman Worth Watching" by Profiles in Diversity Journal
Honor recognizes women in leadership positions for their personal achievements
University of the Rockies Provost Dr. Tina Parscal is honored in Profiles in Diversity Journal magazine’s 12th annual Women Worth Watching® issue. The issue—scheduled to be distributed next week—celebrates the outstanding achievements of exceptional women executives who have demonstrated success across a variety of industries and are helping to advance women into leadership ranks.
“It is an honor to be recognized by Profiles in Diversity Journal magazine. At University of the Rockies, we strive to create an inclusive environment where we can learn and work. It is ingrained in our culture. It’s part of our mission and core values and simply how we operate.” said Dr. Parscal.
With more than 20 years of higher education experience, Dr. Parscal joined University of the Rockies in 2009 as Director of Academic Quality and was appointed to the position of University.
Provost in 2010. During this time, the University has been recognized for demonstrating excellence in academic quality and innovation, and has won numerous awards for their contributions to diversity.

Prior to University of the Rockies, Dr. Parscal served as the founding director of education and professional studies programs at a public university in Colorado. She also was an Associate Professor and distance learning administrator for Regis University and served as Academic Dean for the International School of Information Management.
She holds a bachelor's degree in psychology and sociology from Regis University, a Master's of Social Sciences from the University of Colorado, Denver, and a PhD in Education from Capella University. She has consulted internationally on education leadership, distance learning, curriculum and faculty development, and instructional design and has published in the areas of instructional design and technologies, cognitive apprenticeships, quality assurance in higher education, instructional ethics, and faculty development.
