University of the Rockies Student Wins Scholarship from Golden Key International Honour Society
Lisa Parsons will receive $10,000 to pursue her degree at University of the Rockies

University of the Rockies student Lisa Parsons has been named a recipient of the Golden Key Graduate Scholar Award. Parsons was one of ten graduate students to be honored. All recipients will receive a $10,000 scholarship to apply toward their graduate degrees. Parsons, from Akron, Ohio, is pursuing a master’s degree in Psychology with a Criminal Justice specialization at University of the Rockies.

The Graduate Scholar Award is the premier scholarship offered by the Golden Key International Honour Society. It is intended to support members as they pursue post-baccalaureate studies at accredited universities anywhere in the world. To apply for the Graduate Scholar Award, Parsons had to submit a personal statement about her academic intentions, a letter of recommendation, her resume, and an academic transcript.

This is the second scholarship that Parsons has received recently. Back in October, Parsons also won the James R. Gregg Memorial Scholarship from University of the Rockies. The scholarship, named in honor of an alumnus from University of the Rockies’ School of Professional Psychology, is awarded each year to a student who demonstrates determination, tenacity, personal growth, and commitment to serving others.

Golden Key International Honour Society is the world’s largest collegiate honor society. Membership is by invitation only and is available to the top 15% of college and university sophomores, juniors, and seniors, as well as top-performing graduate students in all fields of study, based solely on their academic achievements.
