EQ: Emotional Intelligence for Women in Business
Dr. Gina Hernez-Broome to present at American Business Women's Association event on March 15

Dr. Gina Hernez-Broome will present “EQ: Emotional Intelligence for Women in Business” to the American Business Women’s Association (ABWA) on Tuesday, Mar. 15 in Colorado Springs.

The program begins at 6:00 p.m. at the Clarion Hotel (314 West Bijou). The cost for the program and dinner is $16 for ABWA members and $18 for non-members.

In this presentation, Hernez-Broome will discuss emotional intelligence as a critical leadership competency.

“There are clear and basic connections between higher emotional intelligence and the skills and abilities associated with leadership excellence,” says Hernez-Broome. “Knowing and understanding these connections can give managers means to enhance their leadership skills. A person’s emotional intelligence skills, sometimes measured as their EQ score, can be improved over time.”

Hernez-Broome will introduce the skills that are commonly associated with emotional intelligence and discuss how women can exercise them in the workplace.

Pre-paid registrations are required by Mar. 10. RSVP by phone at 719.591.2404 or online at abwa-pikespeak.org/RSVP.
