University of the Rockies Journal Earns Award for Publication Excellence

The Journal of Psychological Issues in Organizational Culture has earned an APEX 2011 Award of Excellence in an international competition sponsored by the editors of Writing That Works: The Business Communications Report

The Journal is a quarterly, peer-reviewed publication that showcases the work of practitioners and scholars in the fields of industrial psychology, organizational development, leadership and workplace behavior. It won in the category of “New Journal or Magazine.”

The Journal, first published in April 2010, is a joint effort by the University of the Rockies, Colorado Springs; and J. W. Wiley and Sons, the publisher. The Journal features research reports and practitioner articles, emphasizing scholarship that reveals best practices that contemporary organizations can effectively apply.  The journal has published the work of renowned experts in diversity, researchers in organizational behavior, and includes authors from not only North America but also Asia, Europe and Africa.

More than 3,300 entries were submitted and fewer than 1,000 publications received the Award of Excellence.

According to the APEX judges, “the awards were based on excellence in graphic design, editorial content, and the success of the entry – in the opinion of the judges – in achieving overall communications effectiveness and excellence.”
